The Mission
Janie’s Fund is dedicated to providing resources to help put the pieces back together again for abused girls. Each year in our country, more than 68,000 children are raped or sexually abused. The number of girls experiencing this devastating trauma before the age of 18 is a staggering 1 in 5. This MUST change.
Janie’s Fund was created with two important goals in mind:
- Bring much-needed awareness to the issue of abuse and neglect of children in our country. We’d like to create an army of voices for this important issue that often gets overlooked and is hard for people to talk about. It’s far too often considered a taboo subject.
- Generate much-needed financial support to ensure that girls receive the most effective support available to help them overcome the trauma and pain of abuse.
The Force For Families
Steven Tyler has partnered with Youth Villages, the nation’s leader in proven results for youth facing the biggest challenges. Since 1986, Youth Villages has helped more than 50,000 abused and neglected girls find long-term success. Youth Villages uses evidence-based practices along with an outcome-driven approach to provide the most effective and responsible treatment. Youth Villages offers a better approach, and the results are remarkable. Their long-term success rate of 80% is nearly twice the national average, compared to traditional services. And they operate at one-third the cost. Youth Villages has been recognized by Harvard Business School, U.S. News & World Report, and the White House as one of the nation’s most promising results-oriented nonprofits.
We must do all we can to help girls who’ve been abused or neglected.
Janie's Fund is proud to have such a proven and trusted partner. Contributions to Janie’s Fund will help Youth Villages sustain its outstanding programs dedicated to helping abused and neglected girls.
